This Website was developed to support the Strategic Information (SI) and Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) Field Officer program. This program was jointly developed by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the United States Government (USG) Office of Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) agencies: the Department of Health and Human Services/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/Global AIDS Program (HHS/CDC/GAP) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This Website is developed and maintained by ORC Macro through a contract with HHS/CDC/GAP, with support from the United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS relief.

Meeting Materials and Presentations: Clicking on this link will lead you to another page that lists the meetings for SI/M&E Officers held to date. Information given and materials disseminated at these meetings are available from this link. Please note that some presentations containing specific country information are password protected and intended for internal use by SI/M&E Field Officers and Headquarter (HQ) agency staff. Toolbox Materials: These materials are electronic documents that pertain to various SI/M&E topics. Materials are grouped by the agencies/organizations providing these documents. Within each agency/organization, materials are arranged by topic. These materials are updated quarterly. The SI/M&E Officer Directory: This directory provides information about individuals with SI/M&E responsibilities in various countries. Names, photos, affiliate organizations, countries of service, and contact information are provided for each SI/M&E Officer. This directory is updated monthly and is password protected. It is intended for internal use by the SI/M&E Officers and HQ agency staff only. For password information, Officers and HQ agency staff should contact the Webmaster.
USG SI Orientation Package: Includes materials to orient individuals to important aspects of SI related to the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.
USG SI Training Calendar: The training calendar is a comprehensive listing of all SI/M&E and surveillance trainings provided by the following USG agencies: the Department of Health and Human Services/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (HHS/CDC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), HHS/Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HHS/National Institutes of Health (NIH), United States Bureau of the Census, Department of Defense, and Peace Corps. The calendar is updated and distributed to all USG partners, country Officers and other international agencies on a bimonthly basis.

Link to AIMEnet: AIMEnet is a listserv established to create a global sharing/learning space for trained professionals working in monitoring and evaluation of HIV/AIDS programs. The listserv is coordinated by MEASURE Evaluation, a USAID-funded project. Click the link to learn more about AIMEnet and how to join the listserv.
